Dr. Matthew Teltser - Florida Cardiologist with Decades of Experience
Now retired and living in Hollywood, Florida, Dr. Matthew Teltser is a cardiologist with more than 35 years of experience delivering comprehensive care. Most recently, he practiced as a clinical cardiologist at Associates MD in Davie, Florida. Dr. Matthew Teltser further served as an attending cardiologist at multiple Memorial hospitals, including Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital Pembroke. At the latter, he was chief of cardiology from 2001 to 2003 and chief of the department of medicine from 2003 to 2005.
As a cardiologist, Dr. Matthew Teltser focused his practice on preventive cardiology, lipidology, hypertension, and nuclear cardiology, helping patients manage their cardiovascular health through evidence-based strategies. Earlier in his career, he spent 25 years as the owner of a private cardiology practice at the University Heart Institute in Pembroke Pines. In addition to clinical work, he contributed to medical education as an instructor of medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where he taught internal medicine trainees.
Dr. Teltser completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, following training in clinical pharmacology and an internal medicine residency in Philadelphia. He earned his MD from New Jersey Medical School and a BA in biological sciences from Rutgers University. Outside of medicine, he enjoys fine wine collecting, coffee roasting, and music.
